Bookkeeping Training

While hiring a CPA as your outsourced bookkeeper has significant advantages (see section below) and is likely more affordable than you realize, maybe you’re not quite ready to make that move quite yet. I get it - keeping the books in house can feel more comfortable.

If that sounds like you, I offer bookkeeping training for an affordable hourly rate. Trainings can be done in person (in Western Oregon) or online via Zoom. Whether you or your in-house bookkeeper need a little refresher, or are completely new to bookkeeping, I’ve got you covered.

Other Services

In addition to accounting and training services, examples of other services I offer are below:

  • Budgeting

  • Books cleanup

  • In-house bookkeeper oversight/periodic review

  • Financial Statement Audit/Review preparation*

*I do not perform audits/reviews - I will assist with your preparation for an annual audit/review.

Why should you hire a CPA for your outsourced bookkeeping?

A company may prefer to hire a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) over a bookkeeper for their accounting and bookkeeping due to the advanced expertise and comprehensive skill set that CPAs bring to the table. Unlike bookkeepers, who are unregulated in the United States and primarily handle only day-to-day financial record-keeping and basic transactional tasks, CPAs are highly qualified professionals with extensive training and certification in accounting principles and financial analysis.

CPAs are also adept at ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, which is critical for maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization. Their ability to offer a holistic approach to financial management and to navigate intricate financial landscapes makes CPAs an invaluable asset for companies seeking not just accurate bookkeeping, but also insightful guidance and robust financial stewardship.

This enables me to provide more sophisticated financial planning, strategic advice, and compliance services, above and beyond standard bookkeeping and accounting.
